Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

About Our Practice

How is your practice different from other primary care or functional medicine practices?

At Wellspring MD, Dr. Jason Bailey offers patients primary care, functional medicine, and longevity medicine. Depending on the membership you choose, you can benefit from concierge primary care, functional medicine and longevity medicine, nutritional therapy, or choose a membership that integrates all of these options.  Dr. Jason Bailey started Wellspring MD to be an independent, concierge practice that provides patients with personalized, proactive healthcare.  Together with Dr. Ranya Bailey, a nutritional therapy practitioner, he partners with you to transform your health.

What if I have a medical issue after hours?

If Dr. Jason Bailey is your primary care provider and you have a medical issue after hours, you can call Dr. Jason Bailey. He will be happy to provide you with care over the phone and schedule a virtual or in-person appointment to see you the next day if necessary. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911 immediately.

What if Dr. Jason Bailey is sick or unavailable?

If Dr. Jason Bailey is unable to come into the office for any reason, he will provide telemedicine visits whenever possible or arrange for a trusted colleague in Atlanta to cover his practice.

Do you provide pediatric care?

Yes, Dr. Jason Bailey is an experienced family medicine physician and will accept patients ages 7+, as long as at least one parent or guardian is also a member. We provide discounted membership rates for children ages 7-21 and young adults 22-25 in order to care for your whole family.

What if I’m hospitalized?

If you are hospitalized and Dr. Jason Bailey is your primary care provider, we will coordinate with your care team and any specialists, including those in the Piedmont and Emory healthcare systems, to ensure that you receive continuous care during and after your hospital stay. Just text or call us to let us know that you are being hospitalized, if possible, and we will provide any assistance or information that we can.

Do you offer telemedicine?

Yes, we do! While Dr. Jason Bailey may need to see you in person for certain appointments, such as annual physicals, we also offer telemedicine to make scheduling appointments convenient.

What if I need to see a specialist?

If you need to see a specialist, Dr. Jason Bailey will refer you and can coordinate your care with specialists, including those in the Piedmont and Emory healthcare networks, as well as other healthcare networks in the area.

Membership

Are you accepting new patients?

Yes, we are currently accepting new patients! We offer four membership tiers, Wellspring Core, Wellspring Vital, Wellspring Complete, and Wellspring Nourish; explore our membership page to learn more. To become a member of Wellspring MD, book a discovery call with Dr. Jason Bailey or give us a call! We would love to share more about our concierge practice and how we partner with you as personalized healthcare providers. We charge an annual membership fee in order to provide concierge care, which includes same-day and next-day appointments, telehealth appointments, after-hours care, extensive annual physicals, 60-90 minute appointments,  and nutritional therapy with Dr. Ranya Bailey.

How do I pay my membership fee?

You can pay your membership fee online using a credit card, debit card, bank transfer, or HSA/FSA credit card. You can pay annually, semi-annually, or quarterly, and if you decide to cancel your membership, we will provide a pro-rated refund with no cancellation fee.

Do you accept insurance?

Our membership fee is not eligible to be covered by insurance, since we deliver concierge services that are not covered by standard insurance plans. However, if you have health insurance, we will bill your insurance for any additional covered services, such as standard labs or imaging. We do not require our patients to have insurance, but we are in-network providers for Aetna, Ambetter from Peach State Health, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Georgia, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare Part B, and Wellcare. Some functional medicine and longevity medicine testing may not be covered by insurance, depending on your plan.

Can I use my HSA/FSA to pay for membership or additional services?

Our membership model and patient services agreement contract are designed to maximize your ability to have your medical services and our fees covered by your HSA/ FSA. We will gladly provide you with the paperwork you need to have our membership fees covered by your HSA or FSA plan, and you may be able to be reimbursed for labs and additional services by your HSA or FSA. Check with your HSA or FSA provider to determine exactly what coverage you are eligible for. We also accept HSA and FSA credit cards.

Can I become a member if I do not live in Atlanta?

Although we primarily serve patients in Atlanta, Alpharetta, and the surrounding areas, we do provide telemedicine. If you are interested in discussing a primarily virtual membership, please book a discovery call!
