Throughout his career, Dr. Jason Bailey has always sought out opportunities to provide patient-centered care. He believes in spending time with patients and listening to their stories in order to provide personal care and effective treatment. He has received awards for clinical excellence and patient safety, taught interns and residents as an adjunct clinical professor at McMaster University’s School of Medicine, and was the medical director of the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine at St. Joseph’s Health Centre for many years. As a palliative care physician, he provided personalized care through hospice care and regular home visits, allowing patients to choose where they wished to receive medical care and comfort.

Dr. Jason Bailey’s medical experience has involved caring for patients in all phases of their lives, but he has specialized experience treating patients who are dealing with chronic, complicated illnesses. His experience led him to pursue further training in functional and longevity medicine by studying research published by Peter Attia and Mark Hyman.  Their research into how people can live as healthily as possible for as long as possible aligned with his own interest in maintaining an active lifestyle. He pursued this interest professionally by taking the Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice (AFMCP) through the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM) and is currently a member of the IFM. He is currently completing a certificate in personalized medicine at the Morsani College of Medicine, University of South Florida, with world-renowned functional medicine expert Dr. Pamela Smith. This is the only personalized medicine program in the world that is offered by an accredited and highly respected medical school.

Dr. Jason Bailey is passionate about helping patients access advanced medical care to improve their overall well-being and increase not only their lifespan, but also their healthspan. He started Wellspring MD to offer each patient comprehensive healthcare that combines access to primary care with functional medicine and longevity medicine. His experience and patient-centered approach enable him to provide patients in Atlanta with a transformative approach to healthcare.

Dr. Jason Bailey met his wife, Dr. Ranya Bailey, in medical school, and they have been married for over 30 years. Together they have five children and a granddaughter; his two youngest daughters attend the University of Georgia. He enjoys spending time with his family, reading, watching sports and crime shows, sailing, skiing, and working out.
